Default Hello!

My name is David and I am a 49 yr old culinary student from Lafayette, LA. I am a retired business owner with aspirations of opening a catering business upon graduation. I am marriedfor nearly 30 years to Cheryl, a registered dietitian, and we have a daughter, Lauren and two dogs, Jenny (Yorkie) and Beignet (Golden Retriever).
I consider myself an amateur chef with specialties in Cajun/ Creole cooking and smoked meats and BBQ.
Thanks to all of you who take the time to provide a site where ideas can be shared.
