Default A Newbie

Hi all!

I saw this site on someones web page and thought I'd give it a try.
I just joined today.

I started baking bread again recently and became very interested in sourdough.

I guess you will find me hanging out on the baking forums!

Hi Sammiemom, welcome to Cheftalk. You should find lots of discussions about sourdoughs...we've been on a mission....

Just try a search with <sourdough> and see what you come up with.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the Cafe Sammiemom.

Have you tried making your own sourdough starter yet?

It's nice to meet you, Sammiemom. Besides sourdough, what other breads and baked goods do you make? and what else keeps you busy?

Yes I have, cchiu .

I just put my white starter back in the fridge for tomorrow, and I also have a very sour whole wheat going too.

Tomorrow I am going to start a rye.

I enjoy taking care of them!

Mezzaluna, I make sandwich bread just in case someone wants plain bread!

Let me see, Cinnamon raisin, English muffins, Hamburger roles,
just about anything.

I keep busy with four dogs. We are in Golden Retriever Rescue and I am a foster dog mom.

I would imagine your pets keep you more than just a little busy! Have you ever tried baking for them?

Yes, the lucky dogs.

I just made them liver doggie biscuits yesterday.

My grandkids like the peanutbutter ones I make but wouldn't touch the liver!

how about doggy liver bisquits shaped like cats.
I love dogs, but I live in a city and only have a small garden, no place for such a big dog.
I do however volunteer and feed street cats once a week,
Hey I could bake them bisquits shaped like mice!

Red face

Cat shapes would be good, or maybe mailmen.

Mine were bone shaped and they love them.

The oven repair man just left so I am off to start my sourdough.
