 like a sourdough starter . . . i need to be fed -- information! i love learning about food, techniques, etc. a friend introduced me to this site -- i like it a lot. i am by trade a pastry person, but i'm also very interested in the savory side. does anyone out there have any knife preferences? german? japanese? we're always talking about them in our kitchen.  |

| Hi dsc32, and welcome to Chef Talk. You'll find lots and lots of information throughout our site. Just scroll down the screen and choose the forum that focuses on your topic of interest. There are lots of pros from both sides of the kitchen to share with and learn from. You'll find several extensive discussions about knives in the Equipement Forum farther down the main page.
