Can you explain how you built the macaroon tower?

Sure, it is not as difficult as it looks.. You will need a styrofoam cone shape.. This I used 18 inch by 4 3/4 wide base. The wider the bottom the better, but I did not find one bigger. I covered the styrofoam w/ Wilton gold foil. Once you have enough macarons to make this, stick toothpicks about 2/3 of the toothpick into the foam, but make an angel that it is slightly pointing upwards so the macaron will not slide off the toothpick. On the back of each cookie, I put a dab of melted white chocolate as the glue. This will help keep it in place. Built it from the bottom going up going around. The macarons might be slightly different in sizes, so you will see some gaps, which can be covered w/ silk flowers or some ribbon, and that will make it prettier and it is really ok if there are gaps showing. The tower is not heavy. probably weighs about5 pounds.
