In album: Fall 2012 Entrees and Desserts
Apple and raspberry Pie. I used Granny smith apples for the tartness and firmness, and fresh raspberries. There is virtually no slurry in this pie, as the filling is only the fruit plus raw sugar, butter and dry corn starch. The crust is my own Ice water lard crust, but a boxed roll of pie dough works ok too. The pie is very tart yet sweet, great with ice cream or milk.
