  Remember being a lowly, culinary student, back in the day, lugging around a knife bag and backpack?  You didn’t know if you were heading to class or on some month long expedition into the wild with all that gear.  And for many culinary students a knife roll just doesn’t cut it (no pun intended).  Many a culinary student can be seen on school campus lugging around a large tool box to carry all of their gear to class (including a laptop). From an instructor's perspective, one of the biggest gripes I have with my students is their organizational skills, or lack thereof. Specifically, keeping all their 'stuff,' for lack of a less-flattering term, in one place; tools, uniform parts, notebook, knives and writing implements. We lose countless hours while students scramble for their Sharpie, an apron and their zester. If they are hauling around a laptop, oh my! By the time they locate their power supply, USB cord and pocket drive, we are already getting ready to end class.   I prescribed a tool box, being the old schooler that I am, but that still requires the use of a laptop bag and/or a backpack - then ChefPak showed up!...

The ChefPak is an excellent pack for the culinary student.  I found that it fits everything comfortably and than some.  I was able to fit my assortment of knives into the hard case supplied for them, and knew that they were safe from hitting hard surfaces or cutting me. The pack itself is very durable and has lasted this long going back and forth with books and everything else that I need.  I have another back-pack for other classes, English and Algebra, that I use and it is already falling apart from the everyday use.
