When I came across this blender I wasn't really looking for one. I had one at home that "worked" but the bottom was melted from a former roommate that left it on the stove and turned on the wrong burner so it had to be propped up and held to use. Dangerous, I know so I picked up this blender at big lots for a song and so far it's been a trooper with all the punishment I've put it through. I came with a food processor head which works rather well. The knob on the front allows you to place it solidly in the on, off, and pulse position which I like, it prevents accidental button bumping and a led blinks letting you know it's in an on position.
