I Almost Gave Up
Pros: Gorgeous, Great results, I'll be able to pass this pot down to the next generation of a great home cook
Cons: Very heavy, unwelding, may need some TLC from time to time
Some years back, my husband gave me my dream pot, le Creuset.
A 5 1/2 Quart Round French Oven in Dune.
I carefully read the enclosed information; cleaned the pot and it went into to service. After the first month or so, I could not get the bottom completely clean, not all foods were releasing. I sent the pot back to the manufacturer and they gladly replaced it, with no postage charges!
The first meal that I prepared in my replacement was a roast, and once again, I could not get that thing clean. So I took a deep breath, looked in my cabinet of cleaning supplies and tried the cream I use to clean my glass top stove. Voilà!
Not so long ago I made a Pork Roast in my le Creuset, and the lid got really discolored. I pulled out my non-scratch cleaning pad and my cleansing cream, applied some elbow grease, done!
I was about to give up on this brand altogether. Now I use that honey alot more often.
