Pros: Retains heat well and can cook a lot in one batch.

Cons: Storage size and weight.

Maybe cast iron products have just gained weight over the years, but this is a pretty hefty beast.  But really, other than the weight, the pan works great.  As will all cast irons, just be sure to take good care of it for cleaning and reseasoning.  You can seamlessly cook on your stovetop, and then throw it into the oven for additional cooking.  And the pan is generously deep, allowing you to fry up chicken without bubbling over.  I have cooked tomato sauce based sauces in this pan without losing seasoning or any off tastes.  I think the old days of highly reactive cast iron is gone.  Great value and great pan!
