Why did I buy this

I just bought this kit because I wanted to explore the world of fruit carving and wanted a starter kit.

The price is right at 50 dollars for 9 tools.

When the kit arrived I removed the tools to start work.

I noticed that the handles were soft and comfortable to hold.

The metal seems strong.

Then I notice that the hook blade is dull, and so dull I was able to run its length around on my skin and not break the surface. Once I had given it an edge it seems to be sharp enough to do the job, however, it isnt holding the edge very long.

I would not suggest this kit.
