This is a very great knife don't get me wrong, but i heard that morimoto is backing this product, so i expected very much.  I also know that the miyabi has a very sharp angle and i hoped that this will be just as sharp.  however this knife did not go through the food as smoothly as the shun 8"  i have.  it is however a very good knife and it is very sharp.  it does hold it's edge well inspite of using it in a rather rough environment.
