I own this knife and have used this brand knife for years.  This isn’t for the professional cook by any means, but for the in home cook or for a camp kitchen this is an invaluable alternative to pricy knives.  I would love to have an expensive set of good quality knives and I have picked up a couple of high quality knives over the years, but for me and, I suspect, for many other home cooks laying out $200.00 or $300.00 on a set of knives is not practical.

This knife does a pretty good job for the money.  I have to admit 9 times out of 10, I will grab this knife rather than my more expensive knives.  Mostly because I know it will do a good job with a quick sharpening and if I should take it camping and loose it...hey no harm done.  For the money I could get another one without a second thought.

Would I want this to be my only knife?  No probably not, but it is a good alternative for those who are unable to afford a more expensive knife.  So I guess if buying a $200.00 chef knife is out of the question for you or you want a knife to leave at camp this would be a good choice.
