Hi,

This is one fantastic site. I'm in the midst of a career change. These forums have been a wealth of information. Honestly, I think I've read most of them. The "Kitchen Confidential" thread was GREAT !!

Anyway, I'm stuck in a job that pays very well, but is soon to done by someone overseas. I have a choice, get paid well at a job I hate, and will soon be gone, or pursue something that pays less, but I love. And I love to cook.

The Western Culinary Institute is probably where I'll be going. I fell in love with the school and the Portland area. Any feedback about the school would be appreciated

Hi Mikey, and welcome to Chef Talk. You've already discovered what a great place this is, and we will look forward to your taking part in the community.

Be sure to check out the culinary students' forum, and also the articles at the main Chef Talk site. There's some great stuff there, too! Take a look: http://www.cheftalk.com/content/disp...0&type=article
