Sustainable seafood

Hello again-

I'm always interested in learning new things about the industry and teaching my staff the things I learn. I'd like to inform the group about a great resource for self-education with regard to sustainable seafood.

http://www.blueoceaninstitute.org/

It's recently been updated and they've got a pocket reference guide that they'll send you on request. It's a non-profit, and they've got great information that goes fairly deeply into the environmental effects of various branches of the seafood industry.

If anyone's got solid reference tools that they use for internet research I'd love to hear about it.

There is a documentary doing the PBS rounds called "Farming the Oceans". It is about the pros and cons of salmon farming. Interesting stuff. It's enough to put you off farmed fish for good. In fact, for me it propbably has.
