Hey guys.. I'm here in Toronto, and I'm dying to try this indirect heat method for smoking some ribs on my barbecue today.. Only thing is; I don't know where on earth I can buy those woodchips from.. Like applewood and hickory wood chips and stuff.. I know i gotta soak them and put them in a tinfoil pouch with holes punched in it directly on the flames for my bbq, BUT WHERE DO I BUY THEM!
Check a good outdoors store, hunting especially. These often have barbecue accessories including wood chips. Failing that, know anyone with an orchard? Go pick up a log or two from them and create your own chunks. They'll probably share from their triming's pile.
Try Home Depot. I know down here they have Mesquite and Hickory.
