What are scallion rings?

I have a recipe to make peanut chicken salad, and one of the ingredients is "scallion rings." I know what scallions are, but what are scallion RINGS? :confused:

Simply Scallions sliced on a bias, I think :chef:

Probably not even sliced on a bias...no need to get that fancy (although they look pretty cut like that) just sliced into tiny rings would do it for me. No need to bread them and fry them, though. ;)
