Just stumbled onto this site today while browsing the web. Always looking for a place to share ideas and get cooking tips.

Although I do love to cook (you should try my grilled pizza) I'm a baker at heart. It all started with my first Easy Bake Oven when I was a tyke. I got hooked and have been experimenting with baking every since.

I've taught a couple of baking classes at local cooking schools (Boston area) and had my own business baking gourmet dog treats...dogs eat everything and never complain!

I have an extensive collection of cookbooks and am happy to help anyone locate an old, tried and true recipe. And I'll be asking questions as well. I'm a great baker but for some reason pie crust gives me a headache! I will openly admit to using Pillsbury pie crusts, they taste fine and are so easy. I also have trouble with cooked pie fillings, like for banana cream or chocolate cream pie. Always ends up runny, never fails. You'd think I'd get it right one of these days!
