a good aged balsamic vinegar, course crack pepper, fleur de sel, i'm happy :)
procciutto, serrano, bayonne ham etc...come to mind. A relish for jumbo scallops w/rasberry vinaigrette, salad w raspberry vin. goat cheese, bitter greens.....
Danny, I agree completely. The fruit is slightly acidic, so salty goes well with it IMHO (ham, etc.). We have a Chinese restaurant in the area that puts strawberries (also mango and other tropical fruits) in savory/salty dishes, especially with chicken, duck and seafood. People love the dishes.

I vaguely remember a chef on Canadian tv, Michael Smith, roasting strawberries with pink peppercorns and serving them with a caramel icecream and balsamic glaze. The recipe for it might be on his old site http://www.innchef.com
