For any Chicago-area people, WBEZ (Chicago Public Radio) is currently running their pledge drive. If you pledge a mere $25,000, Charlie Trotter himself will come to your home and cook a dinner for you and about 12 friends.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather just go to his restaurant, and let him use his own equipment and what not. I don't know that even Charlie Trotter could cook a meal worth $25,000 in my own, lackluster kitchen.
Then again, if I actually had $25,000 to donate to NPR, then I would probably be able to afford a decent kitchen, too.
But for anyone else, FYI...
