Well I've already tried buffalo, shark, and alligator (also rattlesnake and moose which I realize aren't on your list). After hearing Anthony Bourdain's comments while eating iguana on his Cook's Tour show I feel pretty safe assuming I'm not interested in it. Dog, cat and mouse are of no interest to me for food use. Might be good but I don't really want to find out. Same for horse and donkey. I don't really care if they're good, I'm just not interested. Bear doesn't really interest me either but I'd probably try it if it was sitting in front of me. Actually I might try any of them if they were sitting there ready to eat, one of my pet peeves is people who "don't like" something they've never tried, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find most of them.

I couldn't agree more. And there is no better example of that than my father. ANY food that is not already in his 3-food repertoire is met with a face of contempt and a statement saying he doesn't like it.

One day I was making a caesar salad and I asked him if liked Romaine lettuce. He sternly said "I only like iceberg." My father wouldnt know romaine from rotting compost. I made the salad with romaine and he scoffed it down with delight and told me it was good. I can't put into words the satisfaction I felt seeing the look on his face when I told him it was romaine.

i guess maybe the horse, i hear it makes a nice bracciole.
true story: my father-in-law was going to eat at the future in-laws, ate dinner - a really nice bracciole and pasta. what they didn't tell him until after he ate was that he was eating trigger. guess he lost his lunch and never trusted what they served him again. can't say as i blame him, i never really trust what his wife is serving up either.

What a choice! LOL Guess it would depend on the circumstances and how hungry I was. I have ate some strange things and will try things just to see if they are good or not but now eat mostly rabbit, chicken, and fish.
