Help with Christmas pudding

Thread Starter
Help - my Christmas pudding has been hanging to dry and it's gone mouldy! The mould is mostly from the string upwards, but a small amount has extended down towards the pudding. I have brushed off as much as possible and wrapped it in alfoil and put it in the fridge. Do think it will still be edible? Is there anything else I should do?

ugh, did you repeatedly douse it with brandy? and keep it under refrigeration?

I don't get it, why are you hanging it up to dry? After steaming it for the first time, leave it in the bowl, cover it with parchment then foil and it will keep for 6 months - no refrigeration necessary. If you salvage your pudding wrap it in parchment fist then foil instead of foil alone.

'course, that's my recipe. What's yours?
