I need some help really quick please! I'm catering a New Year's Eve party but my client is providing the beverages. They are providing mixers and ice, but the spirits are byob. My client has inquired on the amount of each ice & mixers to purchase.
They are expecting around 65 people at this party. Could someone suggest the amount of mixers and ice for me? Thanks in advance!!
around 40 lbs of ice and 2 cubes of cola, 1 diet, 1 7up, 1 ginger ale, a 12 pack of 50/50 or sours, 1-2 six packs of tonic and soda water, lemons, limes.
Hope this gives you an idea, this is for mixing only, what if 50 of the 65 do not drink alcohol?
Is there anyway to find out what age group the guests are? I bartend at a sports bart and find that younger women, drnk a lot of fruit juices, Malibu Bay Breezes, Screwdrivers sea breezes, etc. I would definately get at least 1 gallon of cranberry and a few bottles of all the sodas and sour mix. Make sure you have a little pinapple too. The older crowds will drink more tonic and club soda. This is just from what i experience working the bar.
