I'd love to know how you began your career, what your hopes and dreams were at the time, and how you got to where you are now? When did you finally feel successful?

I bought one of these just for making osso buco. I found myself using it for a lot more than just that. I make tomato sauce in it, chili, any excuse I have to bust it out, I do. I absolutely...

One of my first internet knives. Great blade. I mean *great* but the handle was a bit weird. Right now it just sits at the bottom of my knife kit.

I really got my start the first time I traveled to Mexico. I was 14 years old and I planned for our family to travel to Mexico City. Now remember that I am from Oklahoma City...the sidewalks roll up at 8:30pm. We landed in Mexico City and it was bustling! We stayed in a hotel on the zocalo and I felt in love. From there on, I couldn't stay away. As far as feeling successful--it really comes with the stuff that matters. My daughter, my wife. The work that I do not only in the restuarant, but with the local farmers, that kind of feeling is success to me.
