Illinois Wisconsin Border

I live up by Rockford in Illinois just wondering if any one else out there is in my area. ( I am half hour south of Janesville to give you Wisconsinites an idea.) I would love to share dining info with someone else. Hubby only "eats to live" so he doesn't quite get my obsession with food. Is happy to go to chains but then again he is the one who gets to experience food in Germany, Mexico, Hawaii, New York - ITS JUST NOT FAIR! He doesn't even care!
Thanks!

Hey I like the Mojo potatoes at the Shakey's off route 14 in Janesville! :) I don't think they call them Mojo potatoes anymore since Shakey's is technically defunct but the potatoes are still the same.

Haven't eaten in Rockford, but the cafe Belwah at the Beloit Inn is supposed to have a more modern menu. Think supper club refined a coupla notches.

Hey. I'm a Wisconsiniate... I don't know much about other cities, but I'm quickly learning Madison has a lot of good restaurants. All depends what you in the mood for. I, of course, would highly recommend Morels on the outskirts of Madison (mostly game meats with a heavy German influence). I'm the sous chef there, so, yeah. I know Madison would be a long drive, but we do have a lot to offer.
