I just purchased Master Cook Version 9 and I have a question I hope someone can help me with. In the menu planning section of the software it has a category listing in a drop down box. I was wondering of anyone knew how to add a new category to this. I have searched high and low and cannot figure out how to do it. Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I may have posted this in the wrong place if I did, sorry Nicko.

One of my first internet knives. Great blade. I mean *great* but the handle was a bit weird. Right now it just sits at the bottom of my knife kit.

I have MasterCook 8, but I presume the interface is basically the same.
Go to the recipe. Select edit (the pencil icon). Click on the category tab. You'll see the available categories as boxes that can be checked. To the right, there's a button marked "Modify Categories." Click that and you can edit and add categories.

Also, there is a MasterCook Group on Yahoo that has hundreds of posts and can be a helpful source for tips and techniques.
Enjoy.
