Hey Folks...

Anyone who is a fan of Doug Gore and Columbia Crest has a reason to smile.

Gore has recently released a new line of "Estate"labled wines . I had just finished a bottle of his 99 Chard, valley grand estates $10.99,very soft but with loads of sweet fruit, and spicy tannins...I would definatly go out and look for this one. It really represents excellent value.
Just wanted to share a good find!!

Thanks CC, I'll have to get a bottle. By the way have you tried the Sawmill Creek wines ?, they run for under $10 a bottle and are a very good product as well.

Cape,

Thanks for the wine recommendation, I am building up my collection and I need some great recommendations. Maybe we should have a recommended wine of the month or week?

That's a great idea, Nicko.

Nicko,

Good idea,

I would recommend "Buckeley's" 1999 Shiraz. It's only about $10 a bottle. It really packs a punch (in a good way :)) It has a rich mouth feel, ripe fruit flavors and yet it has a soft kinda silky character to it.Nice finish to. Perfect for those grilled meats.

Does anyone remember when Rosemonts shiraz started hitting the selves 10+ years ago?
