Thread Starter
I'm on a very tight budget, and was wondering if there were any discount bookstores to buy books from on the net. I've nevr been big on buying online so i just figured out about Amazons used books for sale so that willsave me some money (Never bought from amazon B4). Does anyone else have any tips aboput saving money on books, or any other kitchen equipment for that matter. Much thanks for your info and time.

Try http://www.alibris.com and http://www.powells.com to start. When I have time, I'll look for others.

In the meantime, if you look through the Kitchen Letters thread on Mouthfulsfood.com you should find the names of more. (If this link doesn't work, go to http://www.mouthfulsfood.com/forums/ and scroll down to the Written Word board within Lifestyles; open Written Word and look for the thread Kitchen Letters.

You could also try Books a Million and Barnes & Noble...

Have you considered a trip to the library? Even if they don't have a particular book, many libraries will track a copy down for you from another library and get it through interlibrary loan.

I have used Abe books in the past with good success http://dogbert.abebooks.com/
You can also try http://amazon.com they usually have a lot of them used for good prices, and of course there's always Ebay!

Ramlatus, a tip for when you order used books from Amazon - scroll down the list of folks offering the book you want checking the states they will be shipping from. If possible find one from your state, or a close state, this will save you money on shipping charges.
