Where to rent a commercial kitchen

Here is a listing of licensed, insured commercial kitchen facilities.
Incubator and Commercial Kitchens for Rent

There are other websites that offer this information but before you do business with anyone, Caveat emptor, or "Let the buyer beware." I was a home-based baker and caterer for many years and learned the hard way that some facilities are not what they are cracked up to be

Do your homework and know the law in your state regarding food processing. Hope this helps...I welcome any questions.

Have a wonderful day.

I am looking for space in Santa Barbara or surrounding cities (Goleta, Carpinteria) for my up and coming chocolate company.  It would be primarily evenings and weekends but I'm flexible. I have all my own equipment and would mainly need use of a convection oven.

If you have or know of a place, or are interested in starting a commercial space please email me at twentyfourblackbirds@gmail.com.

Thanks!

 Hello,

I know of a kitchen available in Southern California, near the Thousand Oaks area (91320).  I rented it a couple times and it was super clean and a good price.  The guy even included an hour free consulting time with his chef and all the paper-goods and cleaning supplies were included... You can contact scott at rentals@statuscatering.com for more info.  Hope this helps!

Thank you for that info! Is very very helpful!

 Hello,

Hope this can help, but we offer a facility for rent centrally located in Southern CA.....

As far as what we offer and the associated rates, depending upon many different factors, rates start and vary from $19-$40 per hour.  It all depends on what you need and how often you need it.  In addition to our kitchen rental services, we also offer storage space (dry, cold, freezing), co-packing services, consulting, labor, and/or the combination of all the above mentioned...  Additionally, regardless of the service you end up going with, we include all utilities, chemicals, paper towels, soap, towels, and cleaning supplies.  Also, we include a free hour of consulting time with our professional chef to help with conversion, quantification, development, or anything else you may need.

What I/we typically like to do is set a time to meet in person and give you a tour of the facility.  This allows us an opportunity to meet, greet and learn of each other's product(s), services and rates.  It's an effective way to determine your needs and how I can accommodate them in the most efficient way.

Looking to rent a commercial kitchen? You've come to the right place. We know from experience that starting a food business can be a real challenge. You can't manufacture or prepare food for sale out of your home, but setting up a licensed commercial kitchen is very costly and involved. The solution is to rent/share someone else's certified kitchen. Commercial kitchen rentals, commissary kitchen rentals, and co-op commercial kitchens (kitchen co-op) offer a benefit to kitch space seekers and property owners alike. Use our search feature to locate commercial kitchens for rent within a radius of your zip code or click on your State from the list below to get started. Listings also include local small food business incubators for food entrepreneurs (often run by universities) and mobile kitchen rentals/food booths.

Have a licensed commercial kitchen with space to spare? Why not rent it out and maximize your investment in space and equipment. Commercial kitchen rental is a win-win on both sides. Chances are, there are many aspiring chefs and entrepeneurs in your area who would love to rent your excess kitchen space and equipment by the hour and are willing to work around your kitchen schedule for a chance to get their business off the ground. Post your licensed commercial kitchen for rent for free.

We are also developing a contract food packager directory (food co-packer/"co packer" directory) which will be a comprehensive listing of contract food manufacturers and contract food packagers that specialize in helping with large-scale production and getting your food product into stores.

This is a wonderful idea for owners of commercial kitchens that are not being sufficiently utilized. You will however need to address the use of your commercial kitchen with the regulatory agency that licensed your kitchen. The requirements for "shared kitchen use" is not the same in every state and/or county within a state. In other words you cannot stick a sign up and say I have a commercial kitchen for rent.

There are also restrictions on the type of food that can be processed in a shared/commercial kitchen. For anyone interested in turning their kitchen into a shared use facility the FDA actually recommends this Shared Used Commercial Kitchen CD_ROM a great how-to by Nxlevel.org

Washington State fully equiped commercial restaurant kitchen available for rent (Seattle Bellevue area)

We have a fully equiped, ready to go commercial kitchen in the N. Seattle/Kenmore/Bothell area of Washington State.  We prefer to operate the bar and entertainment and rent the kitchen to a chef.  We handle the orders to the customers and you just do what you do best.

Hey there,

I notice that not only are there no listings for Tennessee on your site, the state isn't even list (like Rhode Island is, though it doesn't have any kitchens).  What happened to Tennessee?

So, anyway, I'm looking for a kitchen in Memphis, or north Mississippi.

Eclecticcookery.com is out in Hunter's Point in San Francisco.  They have hourly and monthly rates.  It is a great place if you are just starting, or your business is small.
