Shared Kitchen in Canada

I do not have much information on Canada, just one bit of contact info:This center has a shared kitchen for small food processors. I am gathering more information and will post it as soon as I can verify that the kitchens are certified and licensed. These folks might be able to help however.:chef:

Need kitchen a few hours a week in Peoria, Az

Hello, I am starting an online business and need a kitchen to prepare my dough. I may need some small starage space and some space in the freezer for 24 hrs following my preparation. I plan to do prep work once or twice a week for 5-8 hours each. I have my own equipment and supplies. I live in the N/W Peoria area, near Lake Pleasant Rd.

There are other websites that offer this information but before you do business with anyone, Caveat emptor, or "Let the buyer beware." I was a home-based baker and caterer for many years and learned the hard way that some facilities are not what they are cracked up to be :mad:

I am looking for space in Santa Barbara or surrounding cities (Goleta, Carpinteria) for my up and coming chocolate company.  It would be primarily evenings and weekends but I'm flexible. I have all my own equipment and would mainly need use of a convection oven.

I know of a kitchen available in Southern California, near the Thousand Oaks area (91320).  I rented it a couple times and it was super clean and a good price.  The guy even included an hour free consulting time with his chef and all the paper-goods and cleaning supplies were included... As far as what we offer and the associated rates, depending upon many different factors, rates start and vary from $19-$40 per hour.  It all depends on what you need and how often you need it.  In addition to our kitchen rental services, we also offer storage space (dry, cold, freezing), co-packing services, consulting, labor, and/or the combination of all the above mentioned...  Additionally, regardless of the service you end up going with, we include all utilities, chemicals, paper towels, soap, towels, and cleaning supplies.  Also, we include a free hour of consulting time with our professional chef to help with conversion, quantification, development, or anything else you may need.
 
What I/we typically like to do is set a time to meet in person and give you a tour of the facility.  This allows us an opportunity to meet, greet and learn of each other's product(s), services and rates.  It's an effective way to determine your needs and how I can accommodate them in the most efficient way.

This is a wonderful idea for owners of commercial kitchens that are not being sufficiently utilized. You will however need to address the use of your commercial kitchen with the regulatory agency that licensed your kitchen. The requirements for "shared kitchen use" is not the same in every state and/or county within a state. In other words you cannot stick a sign up and say I have a commercial kitchen for rent.

There are also restrictions on the type of food that can be processed in a shared/commercial kitchen. For anyone interested in turning their kitchen into a shared use facility the FDA actually recommends this Shared Used Commercial Kitchen CD_ROM a great how-to by Nxlevel.org

You might want to contact: They did have a commercial kitchen for rent, not sure if they still have it, but give them a call, they also may be able to steer you to one, if their kitchen is not available.

Washington State fully equiped commercial restaurant kitchen available for rent (Seattle Bellevue area)

We have a fully equiped, ready to go commercial kitchen in the N. Seattle/Kenmore/Bothell area of Washington State.  We prefer to operate the bar and entertainment and rent the kitchen to a chef.  We handle the orders to the customers and you just do what you do best.

Eclecticcookery.com is out in Hunter's Point in San Francisco.  They have hourly and monthly rates.  It is a great place if you are just starting, or your business is small.
