Hi Marian, and welcome to Chef Talk. As someone who doesn't really bake much, I learn a lot from the bakers and pastry chefs here. I hopeyou'll pick up some pointers from the people on the "savory" side of things!

I see you've already dived into the baking and pastry forum- bravo! Take some time, too, to explore the other forums, cooking articles, cookbook reviews and recipes. We'll look forward to your posts!

Hi Marian,
Welcome to the forum...I think you'll like what you see here...lots of interesting and helpful folks with a wide range of experience. I also love to bake as well as cook.

Hi Marian welcome. Now gurahantee this is a good place to get edumacated. Never knew that baking and cooking was differnt breeds of cat. Guess I gonna have to give up cooking stuff in the oven. I will now immediately quit cooking my cornbread and start baking it:) Thanks.
