Benvenuto, Antonio! Welcome to Chef Talk. I imagine it's difficult to get ingredients for Italian cooking in India, but there may be ingredients you can substitute. From what region of Italy do you come?

Yes it use to be very difficult to find the right ingredient but now easier in Bombay for example you can find almost everything

I'm new here too, i live in rome - lived here for over thirty years. Born in the USA of italian parents (originally from lucca). I know about trying to find ingredients you miss, but mine are the other way around. I only just was able to find sour cream and buttermilk a couple of years ago.
