i have an eclair recipe that calls for 70% buttermilk-vegetable oil spread,,,exactly what is that:confused: ?
Everything is better with cake

Depends...

Buttermilk is, well...buttermilk...

What's your recipe and hows the 'spread' used? (or how old is it?)

Never heard of an eclair recipe that used a spread.

(well...unless it's butter or margarine)

OK, my curiosity is peeked now...

Yeah, my curiosity is piqued as well. I'll bet it refers to the frosting on the unit.

Look into the Shedd Spread made with butter milk.
It may have a different brand name but it's a margerine or buttery spread.
bake first, ask questions later.
