You may want to use your broiler pan

Agreed. Best to have something somewhat solid as a base.

How about asking friends, family, neighbors for any extra old cookie sheets - you'll most likely find someone who would be grateful to give their extras to someone who will use them.

You can also try asking in your area via www.freecycle.org.

Ditto. It's very confusing when you post the same question in multiple forums:(

Do you have a toaster oven? I make, scoop into balls and freeze cookie dough for my nephew who will then bake up 3 or 4 at a time in the toaster oven. Most come with a mini sheet pan for that purpose and it's perfect for fresh baked cookies all the time.

You betcha! But to be honest, he brings me wonderful bread from SF when he comes for a visit. Gotta love that boy!
