Southernmost chef??

Thread Starter
Howdy all,

I'm down the bottom end of the world, Tasmania, Australia. Crazy beautiful place with some of the best produce in the world. The freshest and best seafood, wagyu beef, vegies, wine etc and we're even growing black truffles down here now!!

Life is good. I have my own cafe finally after working for others for too many years. I love the freedom this gives me cooking but it comes with many other pressures and the dreaded book work (tax, licenses etc). I'm concentrating the menu on many healthier options, with plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options so I've become a bit of an expert in these areas.

anyway, joined up to share ideas with others from around the world. I'm a bit of a forum whore (due to my other love, dance music (I'm a psytrance dj :) )).

Hi Psywise and welcome to Chef Talk. I haven't heard from our member at one of the Antarctic research stations for a while, so I think you're the winner of the southernmost member. (Seriously- we did have a guy in Antarctica!)

Your culinary life sounds quite exciting, black truffles and all. We'll look forward to frequent contributions here from you.

Regards,
Mezzaluna
