Hi, Tried making coffee cake & it came out very dry,just started baking & have no IDEA what the heck is wrong . Can anybody help? thanks:(

Could you post your recipe. W/o benefit of the recipe, did you check cooking time and the temp of your oven. Have you calibrated your oven (just because you set it at 350 degrees doesn't mean that the cooking temp is 350 degrees). Are you using a convection oven and if so, have you adjusted the cooking time & temp? Even the type/size of pan will affect your results. :chef:

It's difficult to offer anything that hasn't already been listed by "bubbamom " (impressive list of possibilities) so, after you've examined each of those let us know if you need any more ideas. Remember that coffee cake is extremely sensitive to the length of time it is in the oven. The difference of only a minute or two, even at the correct temperature, can make the difference between a fluffy coffee cake with good mouth feel to something that sucks the spit out of your tongue.
