I was making a recipe and it called for plain flour and half Tb of baking soda... instead I accidently added Self-rising and baking soda... What would this do to the cake... Could I do something to fix it? Thank you for your reply :o

Without knowing your recipe, or even what you're cooking, it's hard to help.

Assuming that you're using the soda for leavening, you have too much leavening (at least more than your recipe called for).

If you want to bring your recipe back into balance, you can either (a) start over again or (b) scale up your recipe, using the contents of the already added self-rising flour in your calculations.

Self-rising flour contains about 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt per cup.

Worrying about the extra baking powder is more likely to cause you a stomach ache than the exta baking powder.
