Just a hello from Vegas

Hello there,
My name is Kevin, and I am half way through my program at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy in Las Vegas.
I have no culinary experience, other than working with pizza my whole life. I am just now looking for a job, since I wanted to focus on my school work.
I am also looking for place to do my externship. Any ideas?
This is a wonderful place to ask question and get input. I am glad I found it and look forward to talk with you all.

Hello Kevin! Welcome to Chef Talk. We have a forum just for culinary students; a lot of questions you've thought of, and some that haven't occurred to you yet, can be answered there. We have a good search feature that's handy for locating conversations you're interested in. Take some time also to rove around the forums, read the cooking articles, cookbook reviews, recipes and archives. There's a lot of information here! Enjoy exploring the site.
