Le Petit Zinc!!!You MUST go to Le Petit Zinc in Ste. Germain de Pres! If you are facing the square with the church on your right straight ahead of you is a bistro; go to the front of the Bistro and turn left. Go to the end of that block and on your right, on the corner, is the entrance.
My DH and I, well, me mostly, are serious food snobs. Le Petit Zinc is, and has been for about 11 years, our "gold standard" for eating out. Just about everything they prepare is perfection. The bouillabaisse is so heavenly I pretty much guarantee you will want to bathe in it. The steak frites, the old standby, is ridiculously delicious and perfectly executed every time. The duck is insane.......I just can't say enough good things about it....... You can Google them for more info. Love love love them! (And nowhere near as spendy as some of the "better" places!)
The other thing you absolutely can't miss is a Bateaux ride on the Seine. You will see them and say "nahh, too touristy" but it is worth every single sous! We went back at night, too! Seeing the city from the river is a completely different and unique experience; being on the water and seeing all the ancient bridges, quais and passageways gives you a real feeling for what the city was like hundreds of years ago.
Enjoy! Je suis tres jaloux!
