Thanks for the sage advice. I blow the doors off frequently. Ribs at my favorite local BBQ joint, for example, eating out evry now and then, and not at veggie-organic restaurants, a Burger King Whopper every now and then. The thing is, with something like soda & ice cream, the total amount of sugar and, I suppose, the way it's assimilated, makes me feel bad afterwards. So, for me, there's no point in drinking a sugary soda pop or eating a heavily sugared ice cream. I'd much rather knock back a big plate of ribs (short end, please) or head down to one of my favorite Chinese restaurants and grab a plate of sesame chicken made extra hot and spicy, head over to one of our great local bakeries and get a treat that doesn't make me feel so bad afterwards, or drop by Chez Panisse and hit the cafe upstairs for something both decadent, delicious, and almost good for me.
