My introduction

I took an interest in cooking about 1996. The interest rapidly grew into a passion. I interviewed for the culinary program at my local Art Institute and although I was very excited about it, I decided not to take my life in that direction after intensely scrutinizing all the life style changes required. I continue to learn and improve my skills and love cooking for myself, friends, and family. Not a hobby like every once in a while... I dedicate significant time to cooking and growing.
That is how I ended up here. I hope that not being an official part of the culinary industry doesn't preclude me from participating in the forums. But, if it does, I'll understand. Just let me know.
