Chef Software Recomendations?

Hey All,

I am looking for simple software, for a small kitchen. We require something to cost our recipes, some nutritional information and expanding recipes for large volume cooking. Any input you can give would be wonderful. There is so much out there and I feel a little under water.
Thank you,

April

I don't know of any software specific to costing out food and such but you can fairly easily use Excel to do so. I input our inventory onto an Excel spreadsheet, our manager punches in the sales numbers, and assuming inventory was counted right then it'll give you food cost.

Some broad-liners and wholesalers have programs that are good for this.  Automatic updates on priced out menu items is a nice perk for using them.

Ask.

Otherwise, Excel.
