Mother Sauces

Does anyone know a good resource where to learn the basic mother sauces?

If you want to get a good overview of food history,(This may be a lil more old school than you're looking for) but Larousse Gastronomique is essential for any cooking household or establishment, Other than that I'd say find a copy of the CIA (Not that one) text book. It has the mother sauces in step by step as well as a lot of other detailed info on basic kitchen practices. Yes I'm talking about books.

Joy of Cooking is one that most home cooks will have or should have lol. I have the version from the 70's and it's awesome. I just looked and it has a nice section about mother sauces and the derivative sauces.

Also: Escoffier's Guide Culinaire; Wayne Gisslen's Professional Cooking; and Sarah Labensky and Alan Hause's On Cooking.
