last night at a new french restaurant we were given a couple of small peices of what seemed like a savoury cake with our bread and butter. It was well studded with mixed black and green olives, a wee bit salty and so delicious. I want to put it on our cheese board.
It definitely wasnt a bread or a batter. Had a fruit boiled fruit cake texture????????????????
I didnt feel able to ask the chef for the recipe. dont know if thats acceptable practice or not... Wouldnt think so.
