response to anna

Well, I would just like to say thanks to my fellow colleagues for such a great welcome to cheftalk. Is this how you welcome all new users? My goodness I have never seen such negativity ever. All I asked for was a bit of help if anyone had heard of this program since it is a bit pricey and there is little out there to buy ./QUOTE]
you asked for " advice" both here and on catersource yet don't seem to care about the opinions of any of the numerous caterers that replied to you on catersource - for the most part commenting on the program not you personally. You also posted this in both places, over 2 weeks ago and are first responding now. People did take the time to reply to you and to look at the "program" but you have not heeded any of the warnings or advice they have given.
We don't know who you are but your approach does seem a bit odd. Maybe that's just the way the net reads - who knows - however there have been a number of scams tried on the various forums and we watch each others backs.
At the same time there have been others who ask for siimilar type of advice and are very pleased to know that others tell them to watch out and not just waste their money. You got alot of solid advice from some very serious and tried and true members of catersource - yet you have discounted it entirely - your choice. and if you don't participate on this forum or others that will be a loss to you as well as to the industry.
This forum is less frequented than catersource, so I did take it upon myself to put out the information that I was seeing there - based on previous experiences with scammers and bad posts. Sorry if you were offended. Your reply seems a bit on the late side but at least you came forward. Always better to air things. My apologies for any personal attack that you perceived it certainly wasn't my intention. I did not send you various messages as you imply, I just posted one response to what I saw here and on catersource. and in fact I did not bother to post on catersource, because there was enough out there with out adding anymore.
[QUOTE=Annachu;191885]Furthermore, is there any harm in going to more than one forum to ask my fellow colleagues for advice. Are these forums not for this purpose? /QUOTE]
Again there is no harm in asking questions and having a meaningful dialogue and these forums are for this purpose, but the way you put it out and the actual website for the program lead more than one person to believe that at the very least the program is a ripoff - maybe a scam and gave the impression that you might be a "beard" for them posting information that would draw people to the website?
[QUOTE=Annachu;191885]
So in summary all I was wondering was who might have used or heard of it and I got some nasty message from Tigerwoman. I want to say for the record what the **** good is it to have this great forum if we cannot bounce things off one another periodically? Who on earth are you anyway Tigerwoman. Might want to pull in those claws and relax a bit..
/QUOTE]
once again, you posted asking for opinions and got many other responses ---all negative--- about the program - 12 responses on catersource alone
- so now you are going and attacking me as if I am the sole voice here.
You can choose to ignore the facts and the advice you asked for.
and apparently you have.
Good luck to you. Maybe it will work for you.
As you know from all your years in business,
nothing is a guarantee (although you seem to be looking for one)
and I wish you success.
You have every right to defend yourself. I would have thought you might have replied sooner - not waited over 2 weeks. But it is always your right to speak out and speak your mind.
You are much more attacking than you think you are - where's the dignity and respect you are asking for?
[QUOTE=Annachu;191885]
This is my final post.

how sad for you - think of all the valuable information and resources you are cutting yourself off from.
and if you steer your self and your colleagues away from opportunities to learn and grow then that is your loss and theirs. There is gold in both these forums. Stick around, become part of a resource community. That will grow your business more than you can ever imagine. Don't let your ego get in the way. Again, please accept my apologies for any insult you perceived.
Good luck and great catering...
have a delicious day...
