Christine's Basil

I didn't know basil would grow so big. This plant's already been cut back twice. Christine's already got a freezer full of pesto, and there's more to come. Is such a large plant common? Shel

Wow that looks great but I don't think that is particularly unusual.... although I am sure someone with more experience might have a better answer.

Hi, it's not my plant, but was grown by my friend Christine. My basil is positively anemic by comparison.

How do you freeze pesto? Anything I need to know?

Put pesto into a container with a tight fittlg lid, filing the container to eliminate all air space (or as much as possible) or an appropriately-sized zip-loc type freezer bag, place in freezer. If there is air space in the container, put a piece of plastic wrap over the surface of the pesto. If using a bag, squeeze out all the air. That's all there is to it.
