I love making cheesecake but noticed alot of the recipes call for sour cream in the batter. I just recently put sour cream in my cheesecake and can't taste or see a difference in my cheesecake when I don't use sour cream. What does the sour cream add to the cheesecake...flavor, texture, etc.? Also, how can I make a brownie cheesecake with the brownie on the bottom and cheesecake on the top without one being under or overcooked?
