Pie Plate Suggestions

I'l be needing a 9-inch pie plate. What kind do you recommend - pyrex, aluminum, steel ... recommended brands? What are the different results that can be expected from each type?

Glass has always been traditional in my family. So that's what I was given. My wife cooks the pies and is satisfied. But I have no direct first hand experience in them.
