Having the best Chefs knives

Thread Starter
Just started a course at the Tante Marie Cordon bleu Cookery School. Can't wait until I pass my course and get a sweet job. My tutor was drumming into us the importance of having a really good set of chef's knives. I thought she was just exaggerating the whole thing. Any ideas on the best place to get a good set of knives?
