Help - Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic

I'm anxious to try out my new Dutch oven, so I accidentally invited more friends over than I can feed with the recipe I've got.
There's plenty of room in the enormous pot, but my recipe is for 2 chickens and 40 cloves. I'm looking at 10-12 people. Is this recipe something you can just increase, like 3 chickens with 60 cloves? Or will I kill them with garlic?

Are they big eaters? If not, then 2 chickens will probably suffice, particularly if you slice it rather than serve it in quarters.

Or use larger roasting chickens rather than fryers.

Or include lots of sides to keep the plate interesting and the guests satisfied.

I would think that you don't need to increase your garlic proportionally with the rest of your recipe. Just adding a small handful more will be more than sufficent if you add a bird or 2.
