Thermometer troubles

so i have a problem that i cant seem to fix with any amount of thought or research. i own two different types of instant read thermometers one of them is digital and on is dial. no i must admit my favorite is the digital but that is for another tread. my problem is that the plastic sleeve that they both came with worked fine for the first day or two on both of these and then after that neither of them will stay in their sleeves. whenever i bend over to pick up a box of potatoes or a roast or whatever they fall out which i am not very happy about. so i cant get either of these to stay comfortably in my sleeve any advice.

Replace 'em! $3 at the kitchen store.

Soda straws or coffee stir sticks. Shove 'em down the little red tube holder so that they bulk up the cavity. Then when you insert your thermometer they'll stay there...

Laser Thermometer

Get a laser thermometer with a hip holster, wild, wild west style.

Or just quit bending over.

How about 86'ing the plastic sleeve and using an alligator clip?

Throw away the sleeve and tuck the thermometer behind your ear.

Sorry....:o

Ew...

You could always invest in a jacket with a thermo pocket. Or you could have it tucked into your apron strings.
