There is also a variation of tartiflette with Munster cheese and a copious amount of white wine - seen it in Alsace and in Baden-Würtemberg.

This triple-cream brie from California should work great for tonight's tartiflette: notice the color of the rind (and, if you were here, the strong aroma throughout the kitchen):
